This site features items from our own collection as well as items on consignment for other collectors. Payment can be made direct bank transfer (Preferred) or via PayPal email: firstname.lastname@example.org, please note PayPal incurs an additional 2.5% service fee.
All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars and do not include potential bank transfer fees, insurance and shipping costs. If you see an item, you are interested in please contact us for a shipping and insurance quote. Please remember that your payment must clear before we will post your item to you.
All details of business terms, prices and descriptions of items offered for sale are current, subject to change without prior notice and replace any previously advertised details.
Buyer pays a minimum of 30% down or by negotiation. Balance due 60 days after initial payment, unless other arrangements have been agreed. (No return or refund on layaway items).
Repeat customers may be offered alternative payment terms. We will work with you to formulate a payment schedule that works for you.
All layaway items remain the property of Past Glories until full payment including postage is received.
Item Details and Return’s Policy
Items listed on this website are all to the best of our knowledge genuine antique/vintage items. On occasion we may offer items that are modern such as Books, Military place mats, Coffee mugs etc., and these items are always listed as modern.
You will find our descriptions more accurate and comprehensive than most auction catalogues and/or dealers. If you would like more pictures or additional details about an item do not hesitate to email us at email@example.com. Please include the item reference number and catalogue name with your enquiry. All items are photographed from numerous perspectives and we strive to be as clear and honest in our descriptions as possible.
If you have doubts or questions about an item, please ask us before purchasing. We would rather lose a sale than knowingly misrepresent an item.
Items bought from us are “as seen”. We always aim to describe as many of the imperfections as possible and show them in the photos, but we will not accept returns unless you feel that the product is drastically different to the description and photos provided. Return’s incur a 15% restocking charge and shipping is not refundable.
All items are guaranteed to be Antique (unless otherwise stated) and of the approximate date stated. All measurements and dimensions are approximate.
It is highly likely that items offered for sale on our website have had a working life and so it is entirely possible that an item may have been repaired or had replacement parts fitted during this time.
All items are of original period manufacture unless stated otherwise. We offer a money back guarantee subject to the below:
We do not refund on the basis of “buyer regret”, however if you genuinely believe the items is not as described, you must contact us by e mail within 3 days of receipt of the goods. The item can then be returned to us, provided that it is in the condition as sent, for a full refund of the purchase price, less a 15% restocking fee. If an item is not notified to us within this time, it will be considered as being sold. Postage costs are not refundable.
This refund offer does not apply to any goods purchased in error (including errors in translation of the text of this web site to another language), on the behalf of a third party, nor to goods that have been damaged, disassembled or tampered with after purchase.
We supply items for collector’s display purposes only & such items are not intended for actual wear or use. We do not guarantee the fitting of any clothing, footwear or headgear, nor their suitability for being worn.
The responsibility lies with the customer to ensure that any goods ordered are allowed to be imported into your country. If an item has to be returned because it cannot be imported to your country, we can offer other goods to the same value in exchange, less any return postage & import costs incurred by us, but are unable to give a refund
Please understand that if an item is seized by your country’s customs authorities and will not be released, we are unable to offer a refund.
As the customer you are responsible for both party’s shipping costs, Customs charges and a 15% restocking charge.
Customs duty, taxes and local laws
It is the Purchasers responsibility to pay any Customs Duties or taxes etc. that may be levied in the country of import and to ensure that goods purchased comply with laws and import restrictions for the country of delivery and supply the relevant paperwork/ permits including CITES permits that may be required to accompany the goods when shipped.
BEFORE YOU ORDER: please be aware of your own country’s laws on the collecting of antique weapons.
All items on consignment are subject to a 15% fee, unless otherwise agreed. You will be paid immediately upon the sale of the item being finalised.

If you want to sell something, then please feel free to get in touch.
As dealers we are unable to offer retail prices but we will offer what we would expect to pay if we purchased an item at auction. If you accept our offer, it means you and we both save around 20% as neither of us have to pay an auction house their seller / buyer premiums.
Just send us some clear pictures by email and we will tell you if we are interested and at what price.
Please note: We do not buy reproductions, tourist pieces, civilian training, civilian combat, modern Japanese type swords, or fantasy swords.
We DO NOT buy and/or sell Japanese edged weapons and/or Nazi items, however we can refer you to expert’s in this area of collecting.
